FAQs
How much notice do you need to start services?
We ideally need 3 days’ notice but can usually start care with 24 hours’ notice if requested.
Does any government program cover the cost? Medicaid or Medicare?
While Medicare and Medicaid don’t currently cover personal care services, we’re here to guide you through alternative solutions and support you every step of the way.
What happens when the caregiver needs time off?
Life happens—and our care team is ready. If your caregiver needs a break or becomes ill, we quickly send someone with comparable experience to keep your routine on track. Some caregivers prefer no scheduled time off, while others give notice when they need time away. Either way, you’re always supported. Clients are never left alone unless it’s for a brief local errand.
Can you do short term care?
Our Respite Care services provide short-term coverage when your regular caregiver needs time off. Whether it’s a vacation or personal break, we ensure continuity of care with trusted, experienced staff.
What if there is a couple living together?
Our rates are priced for a single individual. There is a 30% (maybe adjusted) surcharge for an extra individual in the home regardless of the level of care, if any, the second person needs.
Can you do five days a week if the care can be managed at the weekends?
Yes, absolutely!
Can I interview the caregivers first?
You’re in good hands. We screen, hire, and manage every caregiver so you can focus on what matters most. If you’d like to speak with your caregiver by phone, we can arrange that. Need to make a change? No problem—your satisfaction is our priority, and we’ll make adjustments at no extra cost until it’s just right.
Can you accept payments weekly?
Yes. Our system allows weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly intervals between payments.
Do you bill before or after service is rendered?
We bill after services are rendered. An agreement is entered into for services and an initial deposit is due upon signing of the agreement.
What is the initial deposit?
A required deposit to start services is payable to Simone Summit Homecare Solutions for the projected level of hours in the initial service period.
What if the client must go into a facility before the service period ends?
We understand that circumstances can change. If a client moves into a facility, we’ll pause services until they’re back home. And if they won’t be returning—or have sadly passed on—we’ll issue a refund respectfully and promptly.
What if I want to terminate service before the end of the service period in the contract?
If services are ended before the current service period concludes (excluding the initial term), the client will receive a refund of their initial deposit minus any outstanding care hours or related expenses. For cancellations during the initial service period, a $100 administrative setup fee will be deducted. Refunds are processed within 30 days and sent to the client or designated financially responsible party.
